Annual Reports
Every year, the AYF – Western Region Central Executive releases its Annual Report to inform the public of its activities and accomplishments of the previous year. As a democratic organization dedicated to serving the community, we remain committed to remaining accountable to the public.
We hope that these summaries of our activities will give greater insight into the work of the AYF and provide a springboard for greater input from the community.
The 2010-2011 fiscal year was marked by continuous expansion of programs and activities of the Armenian Youth Federation. During the course of the year, the AYF focused on further developing its programs in Armenia and Artsakh and serving more youth in the homeland. Locally, the outreach efforts were expanded to strengthen the ties with various youth, public, and human rights organizations. Similarly, new bridges were built with the organization’s alumni and cultural events were organized to bring together various segments of the community.
Fiscal year 2009-2010 was a defining moment for the Armenian Youth Federation. In a time of national turmoil, the youth threw themselves directly into the fray to defend the Armenian people’s collective rights.
With its five durable pillars—social, athletic, cultural, political and educational—the AYF has produced generations of thoughtful and committed leaders who have been on the forefront of defending the interests of the Armenian nation. The 2008-2009 fiscal year carried on this proud legacy of the AYF and once again showed that the youth possess the skills and knowledge to move the Armenian community forward like no other.
The AYF has several challenges both internally and externally. Internally, the AYF is an ever-changing dynamic due to the consistent influx of youth from different generations and backgrounds. This dynamism challenges the leadership of the organization to create new methods of educating its members, generating activism within the ranks of the AYF, and effectively catering to the needs of the youth and public at large.
